Stillfried-Grub

Winery Küssler, Austria

30,000 years of history - 3,000 years of viticulture

The idyllic, romantic and hospitable place in the southern Weinviertel was first mentioned in historical records in 1045. Viticulture and tradition have always played a major role in Stillfried-Grub's village life. The picturesque village is located about 10 km north-east from Gänserndorf, pleasantly situated below the Wallburg. Apart from the widely visible mountain church, the place is characterized in particular by beautiful, small cottage gardens and vineyards. Stillfried - Grub is easily accessible by car and by train.

Modern wines with age-old tradition!

Stillfried Grub has been an agricultural settlement for 30000 years. Numerous historical findings from excavations are exhibited in the Museum of Prehistory and Early History. Grape pips from the Bronze Age are the oldest evidence of cultivated wine in Austria and have been found in Stillfried-Grub.
